Lawrie Wilson has left the club and signed for Ebbsfleet... fall from grace compared to last year for him but didn’t seem interested here.

Heard this was happening early last week, good to see that they've managed to get him off the wage bill eventually, however it will have taken a big pay off to do so. On paper he looked a great signing at this level, but what a disaster hes been, never looked like he wanted to play for the shirt.

You never know (and we never will) but he may have valued a move south over easy money at Vale. I assume he's earned decent money in his career already, and I don't imagine ALL footballers are purely driven by money.

Wilsons left the club,not surprised his contract has been terminated by mutual consent,obviously we save on his salary but he must be getting a lump sum that will be coming out of the January budget.

 

Thank god for that he made Kevin Steggles look like Roberto Carlos.

I think it can only come down to attitude. He's clearly got the ability (as he showed at his previous Club) but, for whatever reason, may have not wanted to put the work in or been bothered about whether the Club went down or not. The fact that he was smiling when the fans in the Paddock were venting their anger at a home loss earlier in the seasn said it all for me.
