The trick is to sign proven league 2 players, i.e. Rueben Reid, Chris porter , James Collins , lee Collins , Lionel ainsworth , matt green , Nicky Adams , jabo ibehre , billy kee not players who are dropping Down or unproven , then if we go up sign proven league 1 players and so on , it's not hard

Page went for quantity over quality. So did Bruno. And now Brown is doing the same despite 12 months or more of fans frustrations on the matter!!!

It makes you wonder whether that's the remit!

I may have forgotten someone but I reckon since the January transfer window opened last January, Brown has signed 28 players. And that doesn't count players we already had to whom he has offered new contracts. So that's a new player every 8.2 days since he became manager. Is this really the way to run a football club or is it a direct route to madness?

I went to chesters on the way back to station. Food comfort and exceeded my calories allowance and need beer tonight. Thanks for the tip on the other chip shop but because I didn't really intend eating I just had a spur of the moment decision.

I am sticking with Brown.

Are there two worse teams ?

If we don't get some fight and spirit and heart in the team I believe we will be bottom. We are that bad

Crawley are bottom with zero points. We beat them 3-1 away so there is one worse team. However they could sack Kewell and bring in a new man who might turn it around.

Well what a shambles we r .

Players with a losing weak mentality and a manager whos budget has been cut that much that they r non league standard.

Organisation costs nothing neither does desire and will to win.

I aint attended the game today but 833 of my fellow supporters have and we managed lose against a team who have a losing mentality to .

Bit early want the manager gone but he needs address a lot of things .

Kay and Smith r allowing players to get in behind them to often so a change needs be made there,R Williams mentioned it five timesin his commentary in first half i listened to till they scored theni switched off.

Midfield Brown will have to play himself as Tonge cannot do it on his own .

Harness doesnt seem have it but then if every player is at 2 out of 10 thenit may make your good players look dire.

So whats going happen good teams dont lose two on the bounce we have lost 3 and in general defended like a pub team for the goals ive seen .

Has Browngot it in him deliver but more importantly have the playersgot it

Jean, when u start to post like that I know conclusively I am not going mad! We are not far short of scraping the very base of the barrel and it hurts to see us like this, it really hurts. As one of our most respected fans and one who talks sense where do you think we go from here? Should Brown and his merry men go? Who else could shake us back into a decent Club? With Smurf staying on how can we move forward? Is this the beginning of the end for our League standing? I'm at my wits end as many, many others are too. Can we improve at all under the current regime? Other than finding something else to do on match days and unfortunately giving up on our favourites is there honestly anything Valiants can do to resurrect a once great Club? Apathy can become a cancer. We must ensure a change is forthcoming and very, very soon.

If Brown went tonight we will more than likely be stuck with the same players..a lot of whom are his players. We have possibly the perfect storm of an incompetent manager and players who are possibly therefore unlikely to respond well to a change.

If Brown is to go the next appointment could be the most important in the history of this club as he has to get the absolute best out of the current players when they seem poor and are not his players. If he does not we sink lower than ever.

If Brown is to go the new man not only needs the skills to do the job but must quickly earn the trust and respect of the players...NS would have to push the boat out financially and such a manager would have to be available. I am afraid I cannot see those two aspects coming together.

For me it all points to Brown staying whilst NS is in charge

Specifically today what did Brown get wrong? Asking without prejudice.

I was surprised he left out De Freitas in favour of Billy Reeves. I was surprised that when we went down 2-0 he didn't do after half time what everyone in the stand said he should do - push Turner up with Pope and move Whitfield out wide where he was so effective last week. I was surprised when he took Turner and Whitfield off. I was suprised when he brough Pyke on instead of giving our joint top scorer, Turner, a chance up top if we were going to play two there. I was surprised he had sent out a back four with no idea how to keep their shape. Other than that I can't fault him.
