A lot of talk about dropping pope for forrester, but maybe worth giving pope a start alongside another striker before making that judgement?

Just one problem....Forrester doesn't score goals. It's quite useful if your striker strikes, but this bloke doesn't.

I think at home we will play 4-2-3-1 personally similar to under MA.

I can agree with that, so assuming Pugh & Tonge are the holding players, who plays the middle of the three. ADF or Pyke.

I think we will see Forrester sharing the front role with Pope and Pyke / Turner sharing the 10 role. With three wingers pushing for two places the squad looks good.

Even if Pope isn't scoring he occupies defenders which gives space for any partner and other players. I hope Montano is fit today asI think he'll be a vital player for us this season. I exoect we'll see something like this today:

Hornby

Wilson

Smith

Kay

Denton

Montano (fingers crossed)

Tonge

De Freitas

Harness

Pyke

Pope

Subs:

Slinn

Davis

Gibbons

Pugh

Reeves

Turner

Forrester

That's a blimmin' good 11 on paper for League Two, and a much better team than what we had in the league above last season.

If Montano doesn't start then De Freitas will play out wide and Pugh will continue alongside Tonge.

The defence looks pretty solid now. Last season we had to score about 3 to have a chance of winning a game.

Your wrong.

He did score goals in league 2 for bury.

He didn't in league 1 but were in league 2 now so that's irrelevant. We have 3 strikers who are proven to score at this level in pope, forrester and Barnett. Pyke should be able get a fair few as well.

Let's see how he does in league 2 before making s judgement already.

Forrester scored two goals (two decent finishes) at the start of last season but wasn't properly fit for a long time. I think if he can maintain his fitness (and obviously that's still a big question mark) then he could be a bit of a wildcard for us.
