I m happy with Moore as long as he s come without busting the budget and with get out clauses to protect our club if it goes pear shaped and as long as he realises we aren’t Sheffield Wed with the best players in the league on 3 or 4 times the wages of our player s and that he will have to work extra hard on the coaching side of things to improve players rather than buying in ready made solutions.i can’t think of any players his teams have improved and sold on at a profit. If that’s all clear with him and he still wants the gig then great… I think he could be good. But no way do we have Barry Bannon in our midfield so his coaching skills will be tested to the max to even get us mid table next year. He comes across as a very good man manager / communicator but defensive disciplines and player improvements come from coaching on the training g ground. This is a different test than Sheff Wed where the budget to a large degree negated the need for genuine player improvement.

going to be great to see him in action over the coming year starting Saturday.

So, had a bit of time to dwell on this…..

I think I was one of the earliest, if not THE earliest advocates of Moore but I did not believe we would get him. 

Personally I think it’s an excellent appointment. I don’t want to over-hype him, but we have a solid, experienced manager who I think can have that unifying effect of Adams, DC etc.

We do have to remember that this is not his team. It is completely imbalanced and he’s basically going to have to make a silk purse from a sows ear if we’re to have any chance of staying up, which I think is still unlikely.

But I feel that under DM we’ll at least make a fight of it, rather than witness more meek surrenders such as those vs Boro, Bolton, Derby etc.

If Vale do go down, it wouldn't have been Moore's fault anyway. He's not daft. He knows the knives are out for Flitcroft because he sent an undercover agent to see what the  crowds were saying vs Stevenage

Vale relegated? All the blame lies with Flitcroft (And the owners who wouldn't get rid)
