So you know the manager they announce, ain't going be any in the betting you do not know that don't you.

I'd love Moore mesen but all these managers who keep costing us money are doing my head in .

I've been watching 32 years must be on me 32nd and that's with Rudgie here for years .

How about the players win some games then the next one can last longer .

What's so daft about all this is hardly anyone wanted DC out should have just put him on gardening leave when the players lost at Accrington 12 months on history repeats itself with Crosby

It's like brookside Dramarama

The Peterborough game is almost a free hit. But the 2 after that, Cheltenham and Reading are massive. We need someone in before then I agree.

There are no free hits in our situation. Every game is now a cup final.

Tomorrow is a tough one but on any given day any side in this league can beat any other.

How depressing is that? Let's be content with a makeshift.... pathetic....

For "makeshift" read "firefighter". Literally the only thing that matters right now is staying up. We need someone to ensure that is achieved.

There have been 14 permanent managers in the last 32 years, one of them (Micky Adams) had two spells in charge.

There have also been 8 caretaker spells with 9 further individuals (including the 3 academy coaches currently in charge.

Correct, and if we don’t win then don’t lose.

Do you discard the fact he struggled to manage Lincoln in his 1st long term role?

He managed 70 games at Lincoln. When sacked they were 16th but 5 points only off the playoffs (trusting the Irish Times with that one). He seems to have been sacked at least in part for off the field reasons.

He stepped away from his Macclesfield management job post suspension of play re covid. By then the viability of that club was in doubt with points deductions and relegation to the National League. He refused a new contract.

Kennedy has played for and coached at top clubs. Our last manager can't claim that and nor could Clarke really. A bit unfair as he has gained promotions.

So his management journey could be well poised with Port Vale looking just right for him.

That is true, but he was also responsible for P12 W1 L8 while at Macclesfield.

His record as a manager will take us straight back to league 2. No point sacking Crosby to then just get Kennedy in

That club was financially stuffed and following insolvency has rebooted in the Northern Premier League. Obviously you don't then get a job at Lincoln City without being credible.

But hey, I'm expressing some positivity about this guy, but I ain't ready to die in a ditch for him. If he comes good, if he doesn't other candidates bar one are acceptable. We all (of sufficient age to have been at the requisite game) know who the 'Unacceptable One' is.

Bratty would have had a contingency plan, He got Gannon who was probably the best manager we never had....regardless that he was hounded out by Grewy and his mate.
Hope ur joking m8! Bratt was a liar. We just need to stay up this season, no more gannon-like appointments please, although im not sure i trust flitcroft to make decisions for the love of the vale, and i think he has hoodwinked carol

Carol runs a company that specialises in counter fraud work. For example the National Fraud Initiative in conjunction with the Civil Service / Cabinet Office.
