Agreed and also press, press, press, give their players as little time on the ball as possible.

To my eyes Vale seem to have made a discernible effort to get the ball forward much quicker in recent matches, if only just to go long to Uche/Loft.

vale need a good January so a good result tomorrow.

I agree about the press, but with Garrity and Devine dropping back into the middle and Ikpeazu and Wilson up front it's difficult to see it happening.

Following on with the Zager & Evans musical theme....

Girls Lie Too....  Terri Clark....  You probably need to be into your country music (and not many are) to know this one.

Going back a few years with this one, but you're right. Intimidating song for a bloke innereet?

Not on topic but does anyone know if the Park Estate off Hamil Road is permit parking. Normally park in Federation Road but want to park closer to the ground tomorrow. Thxs.

Most of the streets around the park are permits last time I was there.

If you get early enough park on Moorland Road and walk through the park.

If you’re coming from the Tunstall/Kidsgrove direction and you’re willing to arrive early you can simply park higher up Scotia Road, possibly near the car wash or the old Central Club or maybe bag one of the spots in Bycars Lane itself.  On the other side there’s Haywood Road/Dollys Lane area around the former Goose pub.  Park Estate has some parking but again the obvious spots at the top of the park on Park road are taken early.  It goes without saying that you need to be extremely careful if parking anywhere unfamiliar as it’s a dead cert you’ll get a ticket on match days.

I am still pleased with the Blackpool result. As disappointing as Carlisle was, my mind is putting it down to them fighting for their lives, I am strangely optimistic, maybe because the sun is shining and bbq season is in full swing.

I fancy us today/tomorrow morning. So will go for a 3-1 win. 6,700 att.

I always park on Dollys Lane. Really easy to get out if you turn up by the Haywood Hospital. I get home much earlier.

Yeah, real desperation to get some unfunny nickname going. Sad.

Not as close but always spaces if arriving late is Moorland Inn top of Moorland Rd.  Part of our routine drive up for Cambridge bit of lunch and a drink then 10-15 min walk to VP.  Unfortunately can’t make it tomorrow but will be listening on iFollow- hoping to get to Reading next week not been their since the promotion season when they were still playing at Elm Park I think - the season both of us went up - 93/94(?).

I'm looking for Crosby to show me he's a developed manager at L1 level. This isn't a trivial comment. It's essential to us staying clear of relegation.

What do I mean? Well most of all stop blowing results in the final 20 mins. But also, surely, recognise what the players available are capable of and how we should consequently play. I'm not going to get into formations as that is secondary to my last sentence.

This isn't bad after 4 pints of 'Oakham Citrus'. I'm on a bottle of 'Ringwood Razor Back' now. Spotify for ever!
