I thought sang was injured for a while?

Tom Sang

He last featured at Wycombe on December 23.

“He has an ongoing issue regarding his Achilles. The difference in surfaces we are encountering through the winter months has flared up an issue with him. That is more short-term than the end of January.”

This was from this week's Mike Baggaley substance. Seems as though Crosby was underselling just how close Sang was to returning to action

Would be nice to see Tom Sang play in something like his proper position for once

One would think so. Going against popular opinion but to date I haven't been impressed with Sang in central midfield.  I believe it's his preferred position so a chance to show what he can do.

If Wilson gets injured again the vale are in  trouble .but  again just my opinion .

Bing is a liability as manager for vale in my opinion

Bing Crosby, Arthur Askey, James Brown, Gomez Adams. We had any other celebrity managers?

2 weeks is a short-term problem I guess.

Nobody is offended they’re just allowed to not agree with you or think there’s some nuance to it.

Player for player, I'm OK with the team. But it does look like improvisation in midfield. Also hoping they are all 100% fit.

That will be the big issue I think. Have sang and Deborah been rushed back? Guess we will find out.

I have a question how come the young lad Lomax has been dropped and Massey is back in the side # confused.com .

I never get offended by any view, provided its balanced.  The thing about Sang I have been impressed with is his ability to put in a wicked cross. He won't be doing that today. In midfield he seems to need longer to decide what he's going to do with the ball than teams at this level give him. Players like Ojo, Arblaster (going back in time Walker, Bogie or Horton) seem to be able to make time to make a decision.

At last - a sensible post - well done mate, well done 👍👍👍👍👍👍

I would have thought he had done enough to keep his place

I thought he was good in the 2 home games. He struggled at Carlisle.  Surprised he's not made the bench but that may be because they can drop Sang in at rightback and Walters offers cover in midfield. Lowe struggles a bit in a midfield 2 in my opinion.

Interesting result at Maidstone in FA cup this lunchtime!
