Wycombe (A) match thread - 23rd Dec

It's back to the League after the highs (or perhaps that should be lows) of the cup...

Can the Valiants put the Boro game behind them and make it three in a row in League One.

They may have to do it without Ollie Arblaster and Funso Ojo in their line-up.

Assume Funso will be ok, likely just rested after he was subbed at the weekend with the game all but gone.

These are in awful form, especially at home so its a chance to get back on the horse and really cement the league improvement, did wonder if last night's effort was us showing fatigue though with the games so thats something we may have to consider in the selection, their fans are moaning that they dont score from open play and play a slow passing style which is so slow it allows teams to organise by the time they've got it forward.... sounds familiar!

Never been to Wycombe before, thinking of driving, anyone know where’s good for parking?

I think that car park may be closed off for away fans now. Not sure best to check. Otherwise parking is a bit of a mare. However on the road leading up to the ground a lot of companies charge a reasonable rate for their car parks.

Lots of industrial units along the road to the ground which offer parking.  Some are a bit pricey though.  When you leave at the end, don't go back to the road leading to the big roundabout at M40  Jct 4.  If you have a sat nav turn right at the first roundabout and head up the bank.  The route is a bit wiggly but takes you to Jct 5 of the M40 and avoids all the traffic at Jct 4.

Going to junc 5 is a good way of avoiding the traffic, but shouldn't that be turn left at the first roundabout then follow the road to take you to the A40

Back to the league .

Play well generally on a sat so we have hope .

Team well if funso is out or was it tactical either way it made the team look worse tues than they already were ,is out then that opens door for someone else or B Garrity will move back there least he will put himself about with his absolute magnificent work rate attitude to football .

So here's my team not much selection at the back looks like Smith has fell out with the gaffer and  is on  way to Cheltenham along with Cass and Conlon in Jan at a guess .

   Leutweiler

Lowe Debrah Icavetti (Jones)

Sang Garrity Devine Grant

         Chislett

          Uche or Dipepa

Massey has being playing well but other night wasn't quite at it .

Sang needs get down that right and cross immediately so that Uche can attack everything .

Uche has hardly been playing surely he will have a 90 minute performance in him now if not I'd play DIpepa up there as Loft didn't do anything of note when he come on v Middlesboro .

I think we can get back to winning ways .

Wycombe 1 Vale 2

Uche with both

The roundabout I’m on about is the one at the end of the road of industrial units.  That is Hillbottom Road and the right turn takes you up Lane End Road.

Arblaster definitely out and maybe Ojo. Guess the question is do they shift Lowe into midfield or start Sang or Walters. Assuming Ojo is out:

Ripley

Debrah Lowe Smith/Lacovitti

Massey Sang Devine Grant

Chisslet Garrity

Loft

I'd like to see Sang in midfield as he's no wing back. Got caught out physically for the Wigan equaliser.

If Ojo out get Sang in midfield.
