Can any off THJ valiant,black and white and WV or VW whoever u are now tell us who is going to take this club forward with its poor support to challenge at the top of league 1?? Your  comments towards carol are terrible

Let me confirm that if Carol can’t take the club forward as it stands no one else will. Doesn’t mean that she is currently taking the club forward however. Even Smurfwaite enjoyed a decent couple of seasons in league 1. 
 

I don’t doubt she is a nice person but she has not put in £10 million quid. That figure includes buying the club, which was overinflated by Smurfwaite anyway. It also includes the money that the club has generated which has increased through fans having a brief period of belief in a new golden era. That’s faded now. 
 

We got a free scoreboard off a generous benefactor and  the plastic seats off Watford that had been sitting around since Smurfwaite brought them in, installed to satisfy health and safety regs for the Robbie concert to go ahead. Nothing to do with improving the club. 
 

We then fitted decent entrance gates and beefed up security to keep the FA happy under their new regs. 
 

I struggle to see any major investment or at least anything to rival Smurfwaite’s new big club shop, which was probably the biggest construction project at the club so be the new Lorne Street. 
 

Nobody wants Carol to succeed at running the club more than me, as that means Vale succeed. But I am in my rights to come on to a forum and say that the club is being underfunded to compete in the division it is in and having plonkers like Flitcroft, Crosby and her son in positions of power is a road to failure. 
 

I mean she gave Clarke a big contract and faith because he was a proven prospect and paid off Walsall for his talents. Why does she think that Crosby deserves the same off the basis of training some Irish kids? 

Why did a proven method of success in hiring a proven managed get torn up because the guy who was successful couldn’t carry on due to illness?

Who knows but it’s a collective responsibility recruitment which the manager said in the summer and on the podcast, he has to make it work and turn them into team.

His tactics are rubbish. That’s not recruitment. Could a different manager play with a bit more tempo and positivity and get different results, I think so.

Crosby needs to make a change in tactics/formation not the sack at the moment, this Saturday vs Stevenage is an ideal opportunity.

Go 4-3-3 and be more direct - not much width but Sang & Plant can overlap, let Garrity play as he sees it.

I'm finding it very difficult to keep coming to Vale Park presently. It's not just the results but the whole approach of Crosby. But the owners keep me going because of their outstanding contribution.
