Need to wake up a bit second half. We started well enough and have just stopped playing and let them into the game. Ref has been very poor as usual,  I’d be looking at getting Thomas on sooner rather than later

Not been a bad game. We play some really nice stuff at times but certainly allowed Carlisle to come into it more. Can’t wait to see the replay of the save by Ripley, looked an absolute worldy.

Less said about these officials the better.

Seems like Crosby doesn’t like to gamble in the first half. Keep it tight, stay in the game and assess at half time. Then second half outclass the oppo manager and take home the 3 points.

But will Crozzer keep Wilson on as well? Two forwards together is asking a bit too much!

Started well, didn't get the goal and then let them into the game. Early goals mean everything in games like this against poor opposition. Hope for better in the second half.

Great start. Wilo should have scored at least one of those chances in the opening 10 mins.

We’ve list our way after that and midfield looks too lightweight against a very physical opponent.

Ref might need review the rule book at halftime. Some very strange decisions.

Good game,   Vale had the better of it especially in the early stages.

Plant is starting to look a very good player even though he's out of position. Mitch Clarke and Chislett look dangerous.

Some odd refereeing decisions.
