We got tonked by a team who almost got promoted last season having lost in the last minute of ET having played a fair portion of the game with 10 men. 

Poor team selection and poor defending cost Vale the game on Saturday but a lot of the posts are OTT considering we've played one game.

That includes the run of 8 wins and a draw in 9 games, but also the run of 3 straight defeats at the end before DC took over again for the final game of the regular season at Exeter.

Makes it ok then! They were there for the taking first half. It’s extremely worrying that the issues of last season are here again. Starting Cass, Jones and Massey suggests we are not in a good place. No OTT , it was7-0!

I think it's more the manner of the defeat that annoys people. I half expected us to lose 2-0/3-0 if Barnsley played well and we weren't quite on it but the 2nd half was in the rather course American expression a cluster ****.  Whether it was a freak result or not the fact our squad of players are capable of that isn't particularly comforting!

The run of 8 wins and a draw was when murrey was here he then left for besiktas I think

I don’t think it would have made any difference if he stayed on. The first half goals killed us.

All of us including u had no concerns over the defence before Saturdays team sheet came out and happy clapper or not we know that strikers are part of a football team
