Very tough start on paper but I don't necessarily mind that, as it sometimes takes the big boys a while to get into a rhythm.

Blackpool away on a Tuesday night is disappointing, albeit in August so could have been worse.

Derby home game a Tuesday night again. Rubbish.

Brizzle Rovers away on a Tuesday night again. Swear that's the case every single season.

Carlisle away New Years day... Happy New Year!

Peterborough away on a Tuesday night & Orient... awful.

Overall a pretty crap drop of fixtures, but bring it on.

I'm not happy with many of the away fixtures. Particularly Carlisle away where I spent 9 months working in 2011. I was looking forward to staying there, but can't go at all on NYD. 

This is a tough start to the season and we need to have our team fully set up and ready to go or we will find ourselves bottom after the first month.

Hopefully Barnsley are in manager chaos at that point if Duff ends up at Swansea, and regardless it can't be useful prep.

Just noted I am off to NYC in November... land at Heathrow 6:55am on the Tuesday... go to get back to Leicestershire get a couple of hours then Derby at home cant be missing that!

It looks tough but early on might well be the time to catch them. Never know Barnsley may have a bit of a hangover from the playoff final loss and also likely losing their manager so could be an opportunity.

In all honesty we have to play them all twice at some point so just got to get on with it.
