That's what I would go with but - and please correct me if I'm wrong - but have Wilson and Harrison been on the pitch at the same time since they came back ?
I wonder if there was any truth in the fighting rumour ?
Either way we need our best available 11 to start so they should both be on for me.

We need to win this. Get Wozza up the pitch and threatening their box all the time.

This is a massive game, win and we should have enough points to stay up, especially with Oxford below us and in a massive slump. Lose and I think we will need another 6 points to stay up which IMO we won’t achieve.

What is your reasoning here? Are you saying that if we beat Oxford they go down? Otherwise why would we be safe if we win Monday but need 6 points if we don't?

I can't see Clarke deviating from 352 or 343. What worries me about the 343 is the midfield 2. Not sure they'll dominate the game.

I feel like I'm really clutching at straws but maybe a 433 when attacking, 451 when defending?

Stone

Robbo.  Smith.  Fozza.   Benno

                  Pett         Conlon

                     Butters / Holden

Wozza          Harrison/Wilson          Dennis

At least the players are playing in their natural positions (apart from Sammy - but not reall sure what his position is) and also may be more difficult to break down.

As for Oxford, either a player or fan, I'd love be playing Vale at the moment. We are there for the taking. Let's just hope turn up!

id prefer the 10-1 system if we win 1-0😊

Time to stick together and get another three points.KTF.UTV

If it was fans support we would definitely get 3 points against Oxford, as the fans have supported the players.  Look at the crowds following the club away and still going to home matches, even with this bad run they are on.

However, its the players that can only get the 3 points and at the moment that seems to be beyond them due to making stupid mistakes during the game, not looking like they want to fight for the first or 2nd ball.  Some do and they can't do it all - it needs to be all 11 on the pitch playing like they have shown they can.

I have seen Vale only 5 times this season. Due to the fact that I am a grassroots football referee and normally Vale don't win when I go and I have followed Vale for over thirty years. But I have also seen Vale get some incredible results, none more memorable than the second leg victory over Swindon, which was the most unbelievable Vale win in recent times. Especially trailing in the penalty shoot out.

YES it is backs to the wall time. But Vale fans who like me will be there on Monday. Have to back the team. If Vale can secure three points, don't care if it is a goalmouth scramble or own goal. It should put enough daylight between Vale and the trapdoor.

At Wembley in League Two Play Off Final Vale secured one of their best ever victories. Don't waste that achievement and YES since the turn of the year Vale have been on the crest of a dramatic slump with results and form, but you can't dwell on that. OXFORD haven't won for 13 matches and recently have gained impressive draws at Peterborough and on Good Friday at home to Sheffield Wednesday who are also having a mini crisis.

Vale are the home team and they have to make that count in their favour.

COME ON VALE 1-0, 2-1 who cares. Give your fantastic fans reasons to be cheerful. Stay up and have a major clear out at the end of the season.

I think there is a good chance if Oxford lose they will go down. Burton beat the Vale they have done well since, Cambridge couldn’t buy a win, they come to Vale, have an easy 3 points then win their next game. I reckon a win will stop Oxford from doing the same, I can’t see FGR, Morecambe or Cambridge achieving 50 points but possibly Accrington and Oxford should they both win tomorrow, same applies for MK dons and Burton will. If we win, then I can’t see any of the bottom 4 achieving 48 points, whether that is Oxford or Accrington. So, to answer your question, yes, I think Oxford will go down if they lose tomorrow as Accrington will pick up points, I think Oxford will join the other 3 below them in relegation.
