New Away Kit?

I have loved the Errea designs much better than a standard template (did like the BLK kits as well in fairness but just didn’t deliver stock quickly).

The quality does seem to be slipping a bit though, seen some with the new top putting it through the wash and the sponsor logo is peeling off for example and they do always seem to have creases where they’ve had the logo pressed on which you wouldn’t on the bigger brands.

BLK training kit was ugly as sin. The home shirt was ok, but mine managed to pull all too easily.

My only complaint is the Italian sizing XXXL 🙈

I can understand Carol's frustration but we have to get better with the timings re the kit releases. I genuinely can't remember the last time we had a kit out & ready before Fathers Day.

You're missing Fathers Day & all the people who'd love to get a new shirt to take away on holiday with them over the summer.

The neighbours had all 3 of theirs out within 2 days, about a month ago. In the shop, ready to go.

Maybe it's Errea... do we look at moving on to somebody new? I think you get more say in the design with the less mainstream brands, but maybe it's time to switch it up. Macron have got some great kits this year & I also like the Castore branded kits.

Will look forward to the actual away kit release either way. If the leaked picture is anything to go by,  I will be purchasing it without a doubt & I think they'll sell loads.

Speaking as a Father who would have been hoping for a new shirt or the cash to buy one, I actually don't give AF when I get the shirt/cash - as long as I do! I think too much is made of this fabricated celebration day - yes, along with Mother's Day - which are merely excuses for supermarkets too hike up prices, and sell chocolates / flowers and cards at hugely overvalued prices!

The point to this story, though, is that some sneaky <ovf censored> has thought to try to pre-empt the official kit launch for his/her own 15 minutes of fame, without considering how it might make the Club and its owners feel? That's not on!

I'm a father too. My post was essentially about the Vale missing a marketing trick re the late release of their shirts most summers.

But thanks for sharing your thoughts on Fathers Day 😂

I understood that - I just don't think Fathers' Day is special to fathers  - especially those with grown-up children? Might be better being launched a couple of weeks before the first away League game?

Mrs Hoppers informs me that as a father I am an un-grown-up child - I sometimes think she doesn't like me 🧐

I'd imagine the away shirt will go on sale on the 23rd July. I can't see it going on sale on the day the season kicks off or going on sale the Saturday away when we are at Exeter as there would be fans going that match that would want wear the away shirt at that game.

When the season tickets are available for collection? 😉
