I’m sure Huddersfield will be watching what Harrant is doing and have a recall option if he is not getting sufficient game time….

I'd have liked him at Vale TBH. Never say never?!

Harratt played out on the left for Bradford when they got hammered by Chesterfield at the weekend. I think he's made a mistake going there. They have Cook,Oliver and Angol as forwards. Huddersfield have signed Hudlin, then loaned him out. Harratt is out of contract next season. I'd have liked him to test himself in L1 as there's no doubt he's got a bit of quality.

This is just an opinion and I don't want everyone to agree with me...

Sorry to agree, but from the moment Hughes said they could guarantee game time I thought what a load of bull. Then they sign more forwards. Kian had got to be on top of his game to get in the starting eleven, playing out wide is not his game.

Unfortunately, we could not guarantee game time with Wilson & Proctor our first choice. As it has turned out he would have been playing on Saturday.

if Huddersfield don’t renew his contract I think we & he would definitely be interested.

Looking back with hindsight is always a bit unfair... but with his attitude, Harratt clearly fitted into the squad and with his quality you could argue stepping up a level may have bene good for his development. So with hindsight it's perhaps a pity Vale didn't continue his loan this season. He would have been good cover/competition for Proctor & Wilson in my opinion. Oh well, it was not to be, let's see who we get instead.

I don't think we'd ever get him permanently. It does look like Hudd think he is a potential future player for them hence the long-term contract - so I think he's only ever going to be loaned out for the next few seasons.

He also brings something very different to the table. On the shoulder pace in particular. A very desirable ability.

I can see why Harratt isn’t at Vale this season, I’m not saying I wouldn’t have liked him either. There are certain aspects of his game that need development, I thought he was good running on to balls and harassing defenders but with his back to goal he lacks strength. I watched him when we played Tranmere away and he just couldn’t hold the ball up, in fact I think he was either subbed at half time or just after. Whilst I think he has the potential to become a really good player I don’t think we can afford to take chances and having him in as a number 3 striker. In many ways I would like us to be signing a new number 1 striker who is better than what we already have, this maybe a pipe dream but I think it’s only real competition that gets the best out of players. Perhaps we will draft in a premiership striker with similar potential to Harratt, who knows?

In the Wembley game I think we saw him at his best, plus he was getting the service he thrives on. I'm not saying he's a world-beater but there was plenty there to work on. Two diving headers,a right foot tap in,a left volley and a left foot 25 yarder. That showed the mix of his talents

Agreed.  You’d want Kian to be facing his opponent rather than back to goal.  When Harratt and Edmonson were playing you could see that we turned the ball over a bit too much up top, either through lack of strength or, more often in my view, poor decision making.  This was to be expected as both players are still raw, Kian especially, and both need games for their development, which neither would get enough of in a League 1 team.  Edmonson has got the better move in theory, you can see him featuring a lot more, but ultimately it’s down to both players to perform to a level where the respective managers can’t leave them out.  In Kian’s case, maybe Bradford have agreed to play him in a certain number of games, something we apparently won’t do.  Maybe Bradford were simply willing to pay more towards his wages.  Who knows.

I thought he had his best game at Wembley, after 6 months with us you’d expect him to slot straight into the system, but worth adding he’d only got into the starting 11 due to Proc’s injury at the end of the day.

He’s a finisher so should have a good career, and maybe we’ll see him back here in the black ‘n’ white at some point, but we need a couple more experienced strikers in reality.  We’re still looking….

I would utterly love him to come to us as a free agent when his contract is through.

The very reason I blocked someone sarky praise about the club and what Carol is trying to do and ending up with but I hope I'm wrong.

On to more important matters I thought Harratt would have stayed I thought maybe his replacement ( whoever it may be )will have had more experience apparently Hudders wanted him to get game time well he's in a big pool of strikers under Hughes so we will have to see.
