The latest Norman rumour that I heard on Saturday (from someone very well connected at the Club, but even then I'm not sure I believe it at all) is that the pitch is being sorted at the end of the season, with undersoil heating, at a cost of £500,000! I said I'll believe it when I see it. Fair play to the guy who told me, he was adamant, but if it was true then Norman either has no intention of selling, or his director's 'loans' are about to increase again!

 

Pie in sky again like the Hamil Road flats and new Port Vale pub.

He,s a bull&hitter trying to get the supporters back on his side. If he wants to improve the pitch we need better players to play on it.

Apart from not believing it, there is no way that you will get an undersoil heating new pitch for 500K!

Norman certainly is not investing in anything at the club. 500k on a pitch and heating? Not a chance.

 

500k for a pitch alone and running costs for undersoil heating at league 2 on our crowds are mad.

Alsager were looking to move a few yrs back had plans drawn up for some land near golf club but came up against local residential opposition,,not sure they own the land on their site but certainly didnt the pitches next door ..they were owned by cheshire east but there rumours that council pitch might be sold for houses 2/3 yrs ago
