I'm not counting my chickens yet when we are capable still of performances like the Yeovil one. God help us if Pope gets injured.

 

We need to ensure 100% that we steer well clear of the bottom two and take no risks whatsoever in this window.

 

The chances are we'll be ok but we don't want to take a chance with our league existence and future of the Club at stake if we went down. If we can strengthen to guarantee our survival this season we ought to do it now.

Just looked at the Chesterfield forum to see what their fans thought of him when he was on loan. Nothing but praise, saying he had a great future and at a higher level than they were at. Recent posts on there saying they wanted Lester to re-sign him.
Didn't they despise Anderson though?

I like your absolute confidence that we are not going down. Win tomorrow and you are probably right but lose and we are looking at a run of bad results. We seem to be buying some cheap wool to knit a jumper for next season while we have given away our slightly worn but OK jumper when we still needed it this winter because it required a bit of maintenance.
So you think that Gunning is the difference between us staying up or getting relegated. sad

Results haven't been good since he left. My view is they miss his character more than ability. I'm led to believe we did offer him 18 months, but quite a lot less than FGR.

....whereas I was led to believe we only offered a contract until May 5th. Oh well, it's all rumours... and we pick and choose which ones we believe.

I can knit. I can assure you it is much easier to knit a new jumper, whatever the quality of the wool, than trying to make a good repair on a jumper with a few holes in it. Trust me on this.

Are we still banging on about gunning as though he was not an average league 2 player. Are we that desperate for him that we’d offer him a longer contract than we wanted. Who knows who we have our eyes on for the summer.
