When we played them last one of our better games under previous regime , we were unlucky . pope was man handled all match only for the ref to turn a blind eye every time then they did score against the run of play .

theyve had a lad from from forest whose scored most (grant i think ). hence there league position ,

stead is steady at this level but would rather have pope in my team .

amoeba is rubbish or has always looked rubbish every time hes played vale . the only time he scored alot was when shearer alongside of him .

im going for reverse of that match 0-1 pope between 60-70mins .

Actually, his best season for goals at Newcastle was after Shearer had retired. He always looks lazy and is well past his best though.

I suspect keeping Gunning is not a priority. He's alright and that's it. If he thinks getting a place in the first 11 of a lower end of L2 team makes him Mr Big Balls all of a sudden, so be it.

Couple of things from twitter. Norman's mother passed away this year. As anyone who has experienced this knows this is a massive blow. Condolences to Norman and his family.

Second, he's chuffed with the way things are going at the moment and the sweety jar will be out to support St's Aspo and Rudge.

EDIT Last year, sorry.

I am led to believe that one of those is true - don't know about the other two.

Just hope it's Whitfield. He will be a Vale hero if he does sign. We seem to play better with him in.

Vale's luck - more hot pies have been ordered for home games, but sell by date is last week.

This is going to be a hard game, that will come down to fitness after the Christmas period matches.

Also looking forward to Sjoke loosing again.

I will be disappointed if Gunning has left, I struggle to recognise our players and was looking forward to a period of stability with us retaining our better players.

I like Gunning, and would prefer him staying. But our better player are Pope, Worrall, Whitfield, Gibbons and Smith, not Gavin Gunning!
