Oxford tickets?

I picked a random club to buy FA cup tickets - Yeovil Town and you can buy them online for that FA cup game?
Could STs buy their own seat? Just checked, you have to sign in separately as a ST, and also if you are a member presumably of a ticket scheme. But I still see no reason why tickets could not be bought on line at the Vale as ST seats are not open for sale normally.

It just shows what a laughable set up we have in the ticket office/marketing department. The idea of buying a ticket on line and printing it off will mean the least amount of work for the ticket ticket office. No physical cash handle, they don't even have to use the till, use the ticket printing machine. Is even doing the least amount of work, putting in the least amount of time and effort to much like hard work for them?

They really need to start getting their act together and make it easier for fans to buy tickets. So they can't sell the cup tickets on line and can't be bothered to sell tickets for a game Friday night after a match on the Saturday before

I’ve got a revolutionary idea. Why not let fans just walk up to the ground 15 mins before kick off and gain access by handing over English pounds at the turnstile ?

Just another example of tin-potism at Vale. Watching on ifollow VP is the crapiest looking ground out there. Random coloured seats. Empty advertising spots (more accurately a few occupied ones). It's embarrassing to be honest. Even when you take the team out of the equation.

Cash turnstiles are a step backwards in technology terms... but they are simple, not confusing and they work... roll up on the day, pay the fee and your in... the more barriers you put into the equation the more people fall at them.

In these circumstances it seems technology is hampering the cash flow by requiring extra effort from the people who want to give cash to the business... thats not progress in a business sense.

Take voting in elections... how many more people would not vote if they had to print off their ballot paper online? Take time to collect their ballot paper from the queue at the council offices [in their own time]? Phone up to have the paper sent to them at a specific time/date.

Im not suggesting cash turnstiles are the best idea in the long run... as an interim measure they do perhaps fit the bill of allowing people to part with their cash with the least difficulty.... unless of course we are trying to cater solely for the few ardent fans who have not already purchased a season ticket... I doubt their are many of that rare breed at Vale.

The above does not excuse the inability of the sales staff to tackle the complexity of doing their job effectively.
