Backroom Staff

Nogan is the obvious one. I'm guessing Aspin only had the 1 man with him at Gateshead(Cummins was youth team manager) so to have another coach he'll have to look elsewhere.

Gary Brabin has some good experience, again non-league/conference level. When Setanta channel had their brief stint covering English football and the Conference he used to be on it a lot interviewed as manager of Cambridge/Luton? at the time. Despite his awful scouse accent he seemed like a good motivator type.

Any thoughts on what backroom staff we need? I can't see Aspin or Rudge being that bothered about nutritionists or psychologists. Have to say I've not been impressed with any goalkeeping displays since Kirkland joined the club although they may not be down to him. I'm in two minds as to whether I'd like to see Foyle involved. I think he's a great coach of forwards but I'm not sure how sensible it would be to have coaches who may still have aspirations to manage.

Fitness and nutrition are critical issues. Rudge will have be involved with all the arrangements at Stoke and Hull and will bring knowhow of how to improve at PV within budget. Aspin and Rudge both look like guys who try to keep fit and healthy themselves.

I'm assuming that Wracks role as chief scout was bringing in players as well as scouting the opposition. For my money with the recruitment we've seen this season theres no way he could have remained at the club.

In addition to the nutrition side of the game and whoever that falls under, theres also the backroom team of physios, goalkeeper coach and fitness coaches to consider as well.

Quiet the opposite. Rudge was mental for nutrition, he started the players on a multivitamin regime. I vaguely recall something about him making Peter Swan drink raw egg whites for the Protein.
