Worst Performances (Moved from Signings)

Jamie Guy away at Bradford in a JPT game sticks in the memory. He was every kind of awful but I have to admit there were plenty last season that came close. Macintosch against Oxford is a great shout and any number of Patersons performances could qualify.

leon Constantine tried to get in the Vale crowd Sent from my F3111 using the onevalefan mobile app

He'd be welcomed now...we need all the fans we can get.

I'm going coastal for my worst two....Scarborough away ('94ish).Allegedly the Vale team had been out on the beer until the early hours of the day of the game. It looked like it as we sunk to an embarrassing defeat.

Exeter 2015 (Smurf-gate, Coach-gate, Pitchside-gate)....a real stinking performance in front of a poxy Vale following.

The first season in League 2 when Glover took over from Sinnott with abject displays from Jamie Guy, Neil MacKenzie, and Kevin Gall (I think that was his name), all players who were not even fit for the level below, let alone League 2. Geohagan under Gannon was abject but I guess these are spells more than matches. Ben Purkiss away at Peterborough stood out for me last season, I didn't get to too many matches due to work, but they clicked in pretty quick he was awful, offered Jones no support in an attacking sense, and was at fault for their first(?) goal. He also had a pretty bad game at Scunnie Away, was at fault for two of theirs, however, did at least create one for us.

For a bad performance in a dominating win, Sam Kelly I don't think made a successful attacking pass in our FA cup game vs Hartlepool, let alone cause them any trouble.

Two more come to mind. Both in the same game. Dominic Snow lasted a half at Accrington a few years back, got injured and was never seen again. And of course who can forget Exodus Geoghegan's performance in the same game where he showed more energy and passion attacking the Vale fans after the game than he'd done in the previous 90 minutes.

Jermaine Holwyn against QPR as mentioned and West Brom game same season we drew 2-2 he was pretty bad too.

Craig James against Bristol Rovers in the cup Friday night an absolute shocker, I've never seen someone have so many goes at clearing the ball with time and yet fail to do it. Awful defender!

I can't believe no one has mentioned Big Ex in a discussion of worst players / performance.

I couldn't believe this either. As bad as some of the players were last year people must have short term memory to forget some of the dross we've had in recent years (and I envy them!).

The worst performances I've seen were probably at home to Macc in 08/09 under Sinnott and Glover. We lost 3-1 in the league and then 4-1 in the cup or something like that.

As for individual performances though, big Ex takes it - Accrington away was just aboutvas bad as it gets. Also the home game where he wore a snood with gloves and a long sleeve shirt, that was pretty bad.
