Thought we were trying to improve the team not go backwards.Signing Davis is an obvious backward step the money could be used to sign a player who can play in the first team.

Why is Brown throwing money away by signing Davis and on a two year contract.He must have seen what happened with the Bruno signings on two year contracts.

Pardon me for saying so, but he hasn't anything to reform - he has no convictions and is just as innocent as anyone on here, probably a lot more than some.

Not aimed at you specifically, but loads on this thread seem to think we are signing a cross between Ian Brady and Jimmy Savile, when the poor guy has not been found guilty of anything at all.

Messi and others were found guilty, not sure if Ronaldo and Maureen have just been charged - but this new player has been found guilty of nothing at all. It should go without saying that he is 'no worse', in fact'far better' than convicted fraudsters.

If anyone says 'No smoke without fire' then please go and bury your head in a bucket of dry ice for a week.

Fair point well made. On reflection if he can put a decent ball into the box I don't care what he may or may not have done.

Doesn't mean he's wrong does it? Joe Davis has gone nowhere but backwards since he left and would be a poor signing for us. Shows very little imagination to resign a player who has got lost and did a sneaky runner on us to leave in the first place

We're a basement league 2 team so considering we have a reduced budget I think it's a start in the right direction, we aren't going to sign established stars as we don't have money to throw around so as long as we get a competitive team I don't care who they are how much they get paid where they've come from or how old they are.
