Joe Davis is a dreadful signing unless he's here as 4th choice CB and we sign Bikey to partner Smith and another solid 3rd choice CB.

 

I thought the plan was to get promoted?

 

Shambles yet again.

 

Looks like my season ticket money is staying in my pocket this year.

Whilst I understand people maybe not being happy with Joe Davis signing, I think it's a good pickup at League Two level. When he was with us last time, he was young, slight and maybe not ready to be playing at League One level. We're back in League Two now, and he played a part in us getting out of that league (Just checked, he played 7 league games that season for us and we kept 4 clean sheets in those games). Not many games, but I think if we sign him then he can push to start. I'd still be looking at picking Bikey and maybe another experienced centre-half though.

Some aren't but im happy with Davis. Don't know what people expect were Port Vale in League 2!

 

Someone that can fit into our 11. I'll give him a chance but my biggest worry is that if it's him and smith at the back we have a very small pairing in a league where height and physicality are key. If bikey starts then it's less of an issue.

I think Bikey and Smith as first choice centre-backs, with Davis on the bench isn't too bad an option personally. Means the budget can get spent on goalscorers and attacking players. That is assuming Bikey stays.
