Jak had played less than 20 games for us when he signed his contract. I very much suspect that there wasn't a single poster on here who thought he was worth a quarter of a million quid at that time. As has been said above, his agent probably inserted the sell on as a means of getting his client's agreement. If the alternative was to let him go for nothing five months after he'd signed for us I'm not surprised at all about the clause.

If it's in his contract - this release clause - there is nothing we can do about it - and without it we would not have signed him.
