That's a bad blow. The only man who you thought would score us a few goals from the very little we create each week.

Let's hope Browns been working hard to bring 2 strikers in and very soon and more importantly they will get goals or we could be in a right mess at the bottom in the next months.

We don't look like creating goals never mind scoring them.

Cheers Alex for what you did whilst here.

Personally I want 2 main strikers in now even if busts the budget. It's clear to everyone and his dog and always has been that we cannot score goals or at least look lively in the opponents box.

Also maybe 2 attacking midfielders have to be looked at surely?

Taylor and Kelly have to go to make way for useful recruits and if Grant and/or Smith leave Norman must have cash left to get the Team the desired players?

Bruno has left us in a right mess with a dreadful lack of attacking talent.

I don't envy Brown at all. Finding players who know where the net is in January is very difficult.

I'm not surprised Jones has left for a better offer but replacing his goals is going to be a hell of a task.

It will be interesting to see where he goes - typical Vale to unearth a gem and then get beaten to his signature. After today's result, we need to find a replacement urgently and we might just take a look at this guy:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omar_Bogle

Today he scored his 17th and 18th goals of his first season in L2 for Grimsby to beat one time table toppers Carlisle 1-3 on their own ground (something we signally failed to do). A big powerful striker, known for his physical style, strength and link-up play, he would make a great replacement. We could do a lot worse than sign this former WBA, Birmingham and Celtic youth player who's steadily made his way up through the lower leagues over the last few years.

C'mon Norman, you have to move quickly because, to state the obvious, we're not going to get many goals with what we've got.

Very disappointing news, I was hoping to get him permenently never mind on a loan extension.

He was a work in progress as the defensive side of his game needs a lot of improvement but he's a natural goalscorer and they are few and far between. Why oh why did braindead Bruno keep laying him out wide? Under a manager like Rudge he'd have bagged 15 by now this season.

As Sage says, Bruno's left us in a right mess on the goalscoring front. We're desperate for a striker to play with Big Veg and at least one more for options, unless by some miracle young Dan Turner can come in and hit the ground running. Looks a good lad but is he ready for L1?
