FA Cup third round draw (Huddersfield Town away) Travel

We're probably feeling how Hartlepool felt when they pulled us!

BUT....we should have Foley, Grant and Thomas available. With Smith and Streete in fine firm, Reggie improving and Jonesy on fire we are in with a shout.

I think we can take 1500 upwards and if we make a racket, who knows?

I don't think that's too bad to be honest.

They're a decent championship outfit and it's not a bad away day.

And why can't we win there? Weve had a pretty good record there since Ive been going. I went the old ground where (I think) Kevin Kent scored a decent winner. At the new ground I've seen a 4 nil win, a 2 all draw when we wore their kit, a 3 nil win in the week and a 4.3 cup win after being 3.1 down with 10 left.

No reason we can't something there. We'll have to be big up for it.

It's an awful draw, let's be honest a relatively small Championship club who we've faced countless times in the past 15-20 years (played them twice in home cup games since the great comeback in 2008) and one that needs cheap tickets to pull any crowd, minimal income.

On the positive we've a decent record up there and it's winnable... they've started to slide after a good start (like us) and saw nothing to scare us from their game v Wigan on TV. We beat the Championship Champions last season so why not go up there and get at least a replay?

Just back from work, listened to the draw on the radio, bloody gutted but there you go. Vale and Stoke must have been some of the last balls left in the hat (actually a big plastic bowl) and for a moment i thought it was destined. The only positive for me is that living in Oldham, its an absolute doddle of an away trip. Theres also the possibility than given Huddersfield have a chance of promotion this season they might make changes and not be fully up for it. Hopefully something like the last time we wine to Huddersfield might be in order!

My negative head: this is a terrible draw. A team better than us, who will most probably beat us, and we won't get much money from it.

My positive head: maybe it's not so bad. Given their league position surely their main focus is promotion to the Premier League and they won't want the FA Cup to distract from it. They may rest a number of first team players and a Championship reserve team is more than beatable.

Yours hopefully.
