Emile Zatopek, great to see his name being mentioned

here Barry.

Cheers Sean,

He was such a positive man, and my inspiration in athletics. One of his more memorable quotes..."What has passed is already finished with. What I find more interesting is what is still to come.

So...Hartlepool is finished with; Huddersfield here we come

We as fans can only do one thing and as someone who used to go away the one thing i can vouch for is those who do go r vocal in encouragement.

So i say forget the draw and lets do our bit lets get ourselves up there and be the 12th man then maybe we can get the draw and the money to enrich our club.

I wouldnt normally put that but with our support getting less and less every season a cup run is badly needed not to obtain interest from the usual who attend but the casual who might get interested.

Not a great draw, but its certainly winnable if we pick the right team and they give 100%.

In terms of drawing a big premier league team at home, I have to ask myself could our ticket-office, stewards, gate staff, catering and stadium cope with a sell-out game. It would be complete chaos.

No point getting all doom and gloom over what was a completely randon pick of numbered balls in a bag. We've got a good record at the now called John Smiths Stadium. I was there in 1998 when we beat them 4-0 to stay up in the old Division One on the same day the **** were relegated at home to Man City. What a day that was, shame I was only 12 and too young to appreciate it (i.e. get drunk).

I was also there in 2008 when we came back from 3-1 down to win 4-3 in the last ten minutes when Marc Richards scored a brilliant free kick and Louis Dodds scored a belter too.

It's a good pitch there in a good stadium and I think away teams enjoy playing there. Huddersfield's season is going south rapidly since their good start. I'm going to do everything I can to make this one. FA cup fever doesn't end yet. Up the Vale!!!

I'm appy with the draw. Whoever and wherever we would have played we could argue one way or another about Vale's form/tactics/squad etc, etc.

We get on with it and if we perform on the day we have every chance of at least a draw and then home advantage for the replay.

Come on Valiants get your tickets for this and ensure a full away house to cheer the lads on.

A magnificent beer.

The Rat and Ratchet's in Huddersfield too, isn't it? And there are those two on the station. Might give the actual game a miss...

Is the King's Head at the station open again now? I believe it was closed for refurb for a long time, certainly the last couple of times I've been over there.

It is! I was there a couple of weeks ago. I can't see how it's been refurbished as it was just a big empty room to start with and it's pretty much the same now. That one on the other side seemed to have gone downhill a bit since I last remember visiting (although that was after the game where we stayed up) but that may have been due to it being full of LEGENDS on a bantz filled stag do.
