A web browse seems to suggest Queiroz mentored Mourinho when Jose was in his fledgling managerial career.

 

Iran are engaged in qualifying for the 2018 World Cup so not sure if ("lowly" © Daily Mail ) Vale would be a big enough pull for him and simply whether we'd be able to afford him.

For stability I agree, although the thought of a major change in the clubs fortunes by aligning ourselves with a premier club (speculation) does sound exciting.

Maybe it is an unknown Portuguese guy nobody has heard of, but if one of the best managers in the world holds him in high esteem then let's give him a go. Mourinho doesn't get many things wrong.
