I'd be surprised if Doddsy left even if he is taking a pay cut this season, he's due a testimonial isn't he at the end of his next season. If they do that kind of old fashioned malarkey nowadays he'd be getting a decent top up.

I fully expect him to go to Northampton, or at least get an offer by them, seeing as Page claimed he is "the best player in the division, in his role" and that he seemingly wanted to build his team (or certainly the attacking part of it) around Dodds.

I would think he was one of the players who we offered a reasonable wage to because he was rated by the management if not some on here, but he has to look after his family and Shrewsbury pay better wages than we do.

Personally I would rather Dodds stay as he's had an excellent Season, however it isn't the fact of losing players. It's the fact we can't even compete with Bury, Northampton and now pissing Shrewsbury. What the **** has happened to us.

The problem Smurf has got now, is he either looks in the mirror, thinks "oh **** look how many fans I'm pissing off and changes, builds bridges to improve moral and puts more ambition into it with a decent budget or else he is going to find himself in an untenable position.

And before anyone mentions we don't get enough fans, neither do ******* Bury, Shrewsbury or ******* Northampton.

Either put up or Go Norman before we turn into a friggin embarrassment

Cross-reference this story with Pope's article and it's clear we're going to lose senior players.

 

Whilst I'm worried about the quality we can bring in on such (allegedly) low wages, I'd be just as worried about the commitment to the cause of players who stay on much-cut pay.

 

Salop is commutable for Dodds so I think he'll go.

He could always think 'Ive had enough here now I'm off'.Depending on what Shrewsbury are offering he might just decide to forfeit a testimonial.Dont know where he lives but Shrewsbury's not far from here.

Wow that's really passion!!I hope too that Smurf does reconsider and build bridges with fans.We really need to pull together as we don't want to end up back in L2 or even worse!!!!Get a grip and sort it Norman,please!!!!!!!!!
