Good Luck Mark, fantastic goalkeeper and loyal servant to the club.

A great goalkeeper, remembered for some fantastic saves including one against Watford in the 5th round of the FA Cup in 1988 that defied description, and one of the reasons Vale launched themselves up the leagues under Rudgie.

Thanks for magnificent service to Port Vale over a long period, and good wishes for a full and fast recovery from the back operation. Good luck also with the testimonial, and come back and cheer Vale on soon after you are recovered.

Well I'm glad to say I'm not one of those who's constantly moaned and groaned about Mark Grew so I can honestly say thanks for being a good servant of the club over a long period of time and genuinely all the best for the future PLUS for me I'd be happy to see you at Vale Park any time.

Cheers Grewy.

He'll be there on Sunday,ko 2pm.:D

A vale legend of few who are equal. Not a bad coach either and clearly did it because he loved the club. Never there for the money.

I do agree we can do better but he has an incredible amount of experience that we will find expensive or lucky to do so.

Whatever you thought of Mark he was a very honest man who served our club with distinction. He clearly loved the place, supporters and the staff and I, for one, will miss him. As a player we was in the top three keepers I've seem play for the club and was involved in some of our most memorable games in recent times; Spurs, Derby, Bristol Rovers p/o final.

Best wishes Mark with whatever you decide to do next.

Since the likes of Roy Sproson, I can't immediately think of anyone in recent years who has given so many years of service to our club.

Mark Grew is credit to football. How many of today's top players would show anything like that dedication?

He's always been one of the nicest blokes at Vale Park, too.

Thank you, Grewey, for all that you have done and best wishes for the future.

I hope he gets his back sorted. Some great performances as a player,Watford in the 0-0 cuptie comes to mind.Good luck Grewy. What does surprise me is how many footie players come to this area and end up staying for the duration.Must be the people.
