tbh its a bit sad really, because the grew glover foyle era etc is all part of my childhood and I hate it when players who were absolute legends in their own time at the club go and tarnish their rapport with the fans later on in their careers. I just want us to have a fresh start, new players, new coaches, fresh faces , get a few good players in and support the lads !!

Well I'm glad to say I'm not one of those who's constantly moaned and groaned about Mark Grew so I can honestly say thanks for being a good servant of the club over a long period of time and genuinely all the best for the future PLUS for me I'd be happy to see you at Vale Park any time.

Like RayWalkers40yarder though, Grew and Glover were two players I have much respect for, along with many others of that era. But it's difficult to see what either has really brought to the club in their coaching capacities, or as manager in Deano's case. I think both have been given a fair crack of the whip now, and it's time to bring in some fresh minds.

Grew has been a good servant for us in general so can leave with his head held high as far as I am concerned. It's a step in the right direction though, once glover has gone I'll be happy now

Time he left .... probably. Was he the anti-christ some people believe .... no. Did he spend too much time playing golf .... erm! I don't have a problem with Glover and especially Foyle working with the academy as we had a short run of bringing through some decent players in the short period they worked there. His political back biting during his time as number 2 to Foyle, Sinnott and when he and Porter were managing the first team together is why I wouldn't want him anywhere near the first team. I would imagine he no longer has ambitions to be a manager and it is good to have at the core of a club a couple of ex players.

I wish Grew all the best with his back op. Thanks also for quality you brought as a goalkeeper. However he brought nothing to the party as a coach. I hope Deano goes sooner rather than later as well. Deano was and will remain the greatest Vale centre half along with Aspo during my Vale lifetime and those memories will stay with me to the day I die. Useless manager and arguably more useless as a coach.
