Close season new players rumours

Brian wilson has rejected a new contract at colchester. He said he wishes to move closer to home as has a young family. Born in Manchester and has become a pretty solid captain for them. Thoughts?

Just seen on ssn Ashley Vincent had been released from Colchester.

I know he had a dip in the second half of the promotion season, and not sure why he wanted to leave unless he was released..can't remember. but id love him back. I think it will help JMWs game, taking the work load slightly giving the team another outlet.

Im a big JMW fan, and think the team benefits with him in the team. But another quick skillful winger gives JMW the space he needs to do his thing.

So if not Vincent then someone in the same mould IMO

As well as a defender or 4, a cm, creative mid and striker

They haven't as yet,we had him from Colchester so that could be old news

Doh! Cheltenham not Colchester! Saw he had been released today on SSN. im not usually one for re-signing old boys but i would make an exception.

Like i say someone with similar qualities, speed, skill and forward thinking.

I'd take any of:

 

Mark Connolly (Crawley), Clarke (Crawley), McEveley (Swindon), N'Guessan (Swindon), Young (Plymouth), Reda Johnson (Sheff Wed), Gardner (Sheff Wed), Clarke (Huddersfield), Woods (Huddersfield).

 

I'd also take Edgar and Treacy from Burnley as well as Leigertwood from Reading but i feel they are unrealistic. However, Conor Hourihane from Plymouth would be a top signing!

Vincent was shocking after Christmas like really bad. Signings like that would take us down. We're a far better team than we were then.

Yep as new budgets and 60% cap is set for the 14/15 season.

He has been realised for a reason and to sign him would be a step back. However what I would say is that he would bring more to the side than Chris Birchall would
