Yeah... So he still made 39 appearances. I don't get your point. I was saying that he played in the final few months. Alls that shows is that he wasn't out for that long. He left the club thinking he was better than it we don't want players like that around vale. He was good until Christmas and then in his 3 months... Of football after Christmas he was dire. 100% we should not be looking at signing Vincent.

 

The original post was that he was crap in the final few months. He played twice or three times tops in the final few months, not very many games to judge a player on....Especially as the Wycombe game he was just chucked in because Adams felt he deserved it, not necessarily because he was match fit.

Ok. He missed a month and a half - 2 months. He was crap from Christmas onwards. Not just the final month.

Although we shouldn't be obsessed with former players, we need to be realistic about who we can get in and what they will give us. Ashley has potential to be a game changer, be daft not to look at him.

He thought he deserved a bigger wage than Adams was willing to give him. Not necessarily though he was bigger and better than the club. Does nobody remember how well he played pre Xmas for us? Everybody can see what a lob sided midfield we've had this season, playing one winger all the time. Ash worked well in the system Adams played. He hasn't become a bad player overnight just didn't work for him at Cheltenham.

Very true, but AV knows the club manager and players. That is valuable (although this option of getting back past players is not an option we should often toak IMHO). I just think Vincent at his best would fit in very well again.

Before xmas yates was alot better than Duffy how stupid do you look now. Show some ambition get ur season ticket make the budget bigger so i dont after watch conference players trying to be league 1 players. Rant over

I don't mind looking stupid me owd fruit Yates is by far a better right back than Duffy imo,Duffy has been excellent at Centre Half.

Yates is better then Duffy at RB, the problem is they both aren't good enough for that role. The role has evolved over the years, the better players can first and foremost defend but also a threat going forward. Yates can barely do the first well, let alone the latter.

I partly agree but I would be interested to find out how many crosses Yates puts in throughout the season as I think that's part of his game some people miss.
