Adams contract

I wonder IF NS has someone else in mind to replace MA.

 

Why not put the contract on the table and then let MA decide if he agree's with it and sign's it or not?

My point isn't necessarily about whether Adams will use or has used it this season, but whether he would ever use such a thing as a development squad. I don't really think it's his thing being more of an old-school manager. I think he would have much rather had 3 experienced players on the books than 10 players who may or may not 'make it'.

 

There in lies what I feel is the whole issue surrounding the Smurf/Adams problem. I think the philosophy Smurf wants the club to have is about developing younger players and selling them on, whereas Adams would always prefer to have a squad of experienced players. When it comes to the end of this, that's where I think the relationship will fall down.

 

You may well be correct... I would only raise one question... wasnt it wildes idea in the first place? which suggests that as wildes offered adams a contract [adams statement] adams was on board with having one and using one

Nobody knows how this season will end, how many cup games/extra income are there? Where will we finish in the league. What would Micky settle for? Is it money or stability? He has not spent much more time at any other club, so does he want a change? Either let him test the market and counter bid, or make an offer now and he feels insulted, just a few of the options.

I think both are undecided and therefore no need in January, to worry either way, its 50/50 both have options. As long as the job is done well, again both ways ie Grimmer being bought in and possible other additions (from Normans money it seems) then we must get on with it. I hope all fans let them get on with it, they are the only ones to sort it out we should stay out.

A big gamble by Norman.

 

My guess is that Norman has offered Micky a new contract, but on less than the ridiculous (alleged) contract he is on now, courtesy of the Bratt pack survival effort. Micky would stay but wants a deal at least the same as he is on now. My guess is that Norman is gambling that Micky will not be offered a better deal than he has done and is gambling that Micky will end up taking what he is offering him.

 

Only my guess as to what is going on.

 

Maybe if this 500k hadn't gone into thin air we could of offered Adams,Lines,Loft,Neal and Dicko new deals with it,questions should be answered I think

It's all getting a bit tedious now; he said that, Norman said this, that blah blah.

 

Its like a big game between them to see who can out-sing one another.

 

The fact is they dislike each other and they're both playing us like fiddles.

It would then give him the chance to plan for next season without Adams and some of the out of contract players.

Ah that's that then,also should of realised with Smurf always saying he isn't a football man.

 

 

I think Adams is very important to Vale,he really could be our new Rudgie(we have waited a while for that),given time and the right contract,also imo I cant see us getting relegated at any time under Adams either

I like Smurf and thank him for everything BUT this really does smell of a non footballing man messing with the future of PVFC,get Adams signed and we can keep players and sign players who we might not thought would of come if not for Adams being here,i don't think we can take this gamble,all the hard work of Adams and the fans etc could all be undone by a bit naivity
