Representative from Stoke "Hi Mark, I'm ringing on behalf of Stoke City Football Club"

 

Mark Hughes (excitedly) "Hi"

 

Rep "Mark, we're looking to replace Tony Pulis with a real high quality manager who can take the club forward."

 

MH (even more excitedly) "Yes I know the position and what you are looking for."

 

Rep "Great. So I was wondering if you knew of any high quality managers who are available"

Just popped on here to congratulate you all in making this OVF's most popular thread ever.

 

Who'd have thought 10 years ago that we'd be light years ahead of you and yet you are still completely obsessed and in total awe of us. What a magnificent achievement!

Hughes isn't the first choice (although Coates senior probably prefers him), he's the safe fair of hands they'll fall back on if they don't get their number one/two/three target.

 

If the others turn Stoke down then he will get the job by virtue of wanting the job.
