Summer transfer rumours and speculation

Rather than a lot of cash upfront - would they accept a player plus cash deal for him?
We've certainly got a fair few we'd be happy to get rid of!
"yes that's right, the offer is 650k upfront or Ryan Loft, Connor Grant and 700k...take it or leave it!"

Loft will already have gone, BOGOF when Dipepa goes.

I wonder if we have agreed a deal for Baylee with a prem club and whether we are using this money to pay transfer fees.

I don't know anything it's just a thought.

I think regardless whether Baylee goes or not there is money to be spent. It was confirmed at the supporters club meeting that we will have a very competitive budget this season

We wont know anything yet with not paying a fee yet

We would be silly agree a fee before the tournament incase he is outstanding and scores 2 in the final 🙂 I think he will go though

He will be out of our league wage wise at a guess but he would certainly smash up league two imo

Livermore is 35 this year. That Watford deal was almost certainly his last lottery win sized pay day. He really has 3 options:

1 retire gracefully and enjoy his millions

2 try and get a gig as a squad player in the Championship with a hefty wage reduction and less playing time - though still a lot more than minimum wage

3 if he still gets a buzz from playing regularly drop down to league 1 (probably) or 2 with a large pay cut but the promise of regular football  ... like David McGoldrick.

If Derby hadn't got promoted I'd have put money on him going there. They would have met option 2 pay wise and given him the regular football of 3; while still living close to Birmingham.  The probability is he doesn't know himself and by the time he decides he may have drifted into retirement by default.

Would love to think we could be in the running for a player of his calibre. Maybe the lure of regular football and even the captains armband could get him here.
