The last couple of pages had been absolutely ridiculous.

Tell you know @Doha, Barnsley would easily more than double Garrity's wages which is a six figure a year pay rise

Yeah that’s a fair shout. I’d value him around 750k-1 million.

Please point to where I've said that, thanks.

He signed for them shortly after their promotion from league one. It's an indicative example of

1 what's actually happening on the market, for a player with less EFL goals than BG

2 "in the last year of his contract" isn't really the killer blow you were inferring

You have to take in context the league and the club that wants to sign a player.

A championship club on the up and the size of Ipswich wanted to sign Jack Taylor thus making him a Championship quality player.

Garrity is not a Championship player by any stretch of the imagination and his best hope is to get a move to a top end league one club, like a Barnsley which will also reflect his transfer fee

I just can't see it being a million for garrity, or even close, personally. 

We need to trim the squad and he's one of only three we can hope to get any cash for.

Other clubs aren't daft, they know our situation.

Sadly, to get a few hundred grand plus his wages off our books could be one of our only realistic options of getting serious money to strengthen.

I wish it wasn't so.

I wish we could just get the Grants, Yaks, Lofts etc off the payroll but i can't see it being easy, unfortunately. 

I can only hope that we think keeping him and paying his wages for a season will be worth more to us than the saving on his wages if he left.

We will get around the £400k mark for him and maybe with a bit of luck, closer to £500k
