So thats the agenda agreed then.  I look forward to the next instalment.

will the measure of success against this be objective, or unilaterally decided by Carol as per assessment of DF’s performance?

What a load old tosh, just another smoke and mirrors exercise by her. She’s too stubborn to change anything or listen to sensible advice. The fans will still be there long after she’s gone and it won’t  matter which league we’re playing in. Put the club up for sale and please leave NOW. The only problem I foresee is that potential investors wont touch it unless they can pinch a bargain, which won’t happen with her or won’t be interested until it’s hit rock bottom.

I’m not familiar with Patrick’s qualifications so can someone please appraise me of them. Designs a crap away shirt that a 9 year old could have done, joins in the dressing room celebrations by getting his stupid fricking long hair shaved off by Cov, replaces Garlick and now attending meetings of this magnitude.FFS, she hasn’t got a clue about running a football club she’s failed to keep up with the competition.

Instead of hiding behind corporate spiel, why don' t the club out with a quote that simple folk like me can understand:

"Darren Moore will be in charge of his own recruitment of player's for the 2024/25 season"

It all sounds a bit Soviet but that is the Carol way. Politics in smoke filled meeting rooms. Vague corporate speak that needs an interpreter to translate into something that makes sense.

However, as long Flitcroft has been sent to a Serbian outpost to study stadium drainage processing whilst Moore and his merry men handle player recruitment then I think it's good news. I don't think we'll be seeing quotes from Dave saying how a player aligns with the club's values when the new signings are announced in the summer.

Because I don't think it's going to be in any way as clear cut as that. Sadly, I don't think Carol will be getting rid of DF. The change, if it does take place (and I may well be wrong), will be much more subtle and nuanced than that. My best guess is that to save face, DF will still "be in charge" but with a much bigger input into player recruitment from DM. Only time will tell. Regrettably, as we all know, most of the damage has already been done and I fear this season is one we're all going to want to forget!

Is it just me or has the dynamic changed behind the scenes?
"Darren Moore and his team will work closely with David Flitcroft". Not the other way round. Do I detect a behind the scenes coup?
The time to establish your working arrangements is when you sign your contract, Moore is familiar with establishing transfer power. I think he will get his way or someone will go.

now Carol grabbing a select group of fans who she can give a slight inside view into the workings of the club in exchange for their loyalty and spreading the good word on her behalf.

Can I just come back on this... I've been contacted by a participant in the meeting who wants to point out that is factually incorrect. Supporters asked for the meeting and contacted the club to arrange it. It wasn't organised by the club nor were the participants selected by the club.

Fair enough, my natural scepticism comes from where we have been the last few months

So this "meeting" took place on Monday?  Why has no one, even members of the Supporters Club and the Black & Gold unit been contacted, either previous to or after said meeting?  The actual fan base were NOT represented then, only a handful of PVFC selected elite asked to attend.   Stinks again of trying to sweep things under the carpet by attempting to hoodwink a few people at the meeting, in the hope they could persuade the actual fan base to do as the Club say!!!! Fat chance of that.

Weirdly negative way to dismiss designing a kit that broke club sales records and then to also criticise him for celebrating a promotion.

Wish I could fail to keep up with the competition if it meant me getting £180 million my way.

This kind of management bluffing statement might work in a corporation where there is little chance to voice your dissent, but it’s a totally different matter when there’s a crowd of 5000+ home fans on a Saturday afternoon at vale park who are voicing their unhappiness verbally and then with their feet when they don’t come back the next week.

And what on earth does Patrick Shanahan offer to the club?

What are his experience, credentials or qualifications? What is his role?

I have thought this for a while? How much say does he have?
