Thought Massey was really good today aside from the goal. Was a bit of scrap about him too.

Difference of opinion as a lot are saying how good he was, I just don’t see it, he put himself a lot but his quality is massively lacking, can’t remember him putting any quality ball in the box, couldn’t  get past his man and his goal only made up for giving the ball away so cheaply for their third goal.

For me, Chislett was easily MOM and I think Lowe needs a mention, easily our best defender.

Massey isn't and has never been our biggest issue. He's been played in a number of positions by Crosby which isn't easy for any player. I expected a bit more from him when we signed him but his pace is useful in a generally crab paced side.

But he is a problem. Sang was poor today, Massey is taking his position which doesn’t help, at least with Sang you get quality balls in to the box.

That’s the point though. An improvement on absolutely <ovf censored> still isn’t very good.

Not at all - some "fans"...like yourself...will never give him any credit!

I'm glad that the owners are giving him time. It seems to get forgotten that he's in his first managerial role, and the table & recent performances suggest he's doing a pretty respectable job.

AC's biggest shortcoming is not being Darrell Clarke, and that's a sad state of affairs.

Not for me it isn't

OK, what more than that do you think he's genuinely capable of on a regular basis?

To pass the ball properly. That's all. Other than that he was great and defo his best game so far. I just think he wasted so much - which we can't afford.

Also though Massey had a great game today. And I'm no Massey fan. But praise where it's due.

Funny how people see the same game so differently.   I really rated him today.  If he does that for us I will be happy.

Agree re massey, thought he had a great game.

We really do need to re think the three at the back.  The goals we conceded today we genuinely Sunday morning standard.  Worst defending I can remember at vp

Needs sorting

You'll have to explain this one to me. Fans stay away = less revenue. Less revenue = less to spend on players. Poor squad = struggle or relegation.

Why aren't Cheltenham or Carlisle fans staying away? They've had worse starts and seasons so far than us. Could it be they support through thick and thin rather than looking for excuses not to go to games?

Nothing to explain you described the spiral effect.

Knowing the Cheltenham manager I think the fans are right behind him as the team is having a right good go. The Carlisle fans a right behind Simpson after the promotion last season and have trust in him.

It’s going to take some turn around for Crosby to get that turnaround although the last couple of home performances have been much better with that change in style, I personally like the prickly post match today from him rather than robotic generic responses.

im no massey fan but take nothing away from his goal. Was a great finish, if that's willo or devine people are raving about it

I'm not a fan but he's versatile and he is what he is. He offers versatility and pace if little else. He's probably best played as a winger but we obviously don't play that formation. In my opinion we have far bigger issues within the squad than Massey.

Agree, he was played in his best position today but would argue that he’s not versatile, he’s been played in a few positions and not done well in any of them plus AC plays Sang out of position on the left rather than playing Massey there.

Our highlights are on babestation - channel 69 - plenty of b@llocks being dropped all over

Your Covolan PJ’s will need washing 😀

Felt Massey had been a big disappointment, apart from the Wigan game, but not today, man of the match . Just wish he would do it more often. Pleased for Uche getting his goal and liked how much it meant to him. It was an entertaining game  just wish we werent chasing it, Pleased that we were playing the ball forward but boy doesnt our defence need sorting out. Glad Crosby was so angry after the match, sharp words need to be had as our defending was comical at times.

Couldn't agree more. The "listen to the fans" brigade seem to forget they don't speak for all fans.

Call me cynical but is this the massey who decides to play when he needs a contract extension?
