Charlton (H) match thread - 6th Jan

I read a Charlton match report where they described Uche as "rambunctious".

I had no idea what this meant, so Googled it and think it's a brilliant representation:

"Difficult to control. Full of energy. Wildly boisterous"

😂😂

Vale fans only judge players on goals scored, but I'm a massive fan of Uche (when used properly).

I think that partnership with Willo is definitely the way to go. They compliment each other perfectly similar to how Willo and Proctor used to.  Uche keeps doing what he does yesterday and chip in with the odd goal too then that’s more than alright for me. Would like us to have someone out there with raw pace like Thomas has but realistically we’re not going to see him if at all until end of the month now.

Massively entertaining game of football. Superb come backs x 3.

Considering we are missing 3 of our most influential players in midfield, that was impressive.

Sang had a very good game. Yak made a big difference. Massey was decent.

Uche and Grant played 90 minutes.

More of the same please.

Pity about the Railway Toilets mess , kinda takes the shine off that happy clapping statement . Urinating is a glorified plastic bucket is not great when you paid £300.00 for a season ticket

Happy clapping?

I honestly couldn't give a toss about the toilets, I'm sure they meet the standard required. The ground looks and feels ace to me.

By the way, you could pay £300+ for a Glastonbury ticket and I can reassure you the toilet arrangements there would have you running for Burslem.

I agree but improvements to those are coming. I do think the ground overall is improved, but the railway certainly needs total renovation.

If he became "absolutely lethal", would that make him a bad person?

When I worked on farms as a kid, men just stood near the hedge and urinated, being enclosed is a bonus. As long as I don't get my feet wet it doesn't bother me. I would prefer us to spend money on players.

Love how people that have a different view are classified being moaners.

Your view is different to mine and you are all the time telling us your view which makes you the moaner

Yet I've not once said the club needs to "listen to the fans". That's my point, as you well know.

Well go live in field , some of us would like the club to spend money on basic facilities

To pass the ball properly. That's all. Other than that he was great and defo his best game so far. I just think he wasted so much - which we can't afford.

Also though Massey had a great game today. And I'm no Massey fan. But praise where it's due.

I think Uche is a great player, his close control on the edge of the box when being held by 3 of their players was great to see. I think he will prove to be more of an asset than Wilson. I thought Wilson didn't look at his best yesterday. Rhys Walters was a bit disappointing when he came on too.

But the more spent off the field, the less spent on the field, I know there is FFP, budgets etc to confuse the issue but it all comes from the same wallet.

Wilson missed an open goal. I think. Guilty of trying to slot instead of blowing the net off.

You know bugger all to increase income they need to fill the ground and if they have not got functioning toilets . This money spent for toilet is not a nice to have it a mandatory compliance to the conditions of Vale ground licence .Jesus big gob knows nowt

Are you saying that the current plastic portaloo type toilets do not function? How come we are allowed to put matches on. They must meet the H&S requirements or we wouldn't be allowed to stage matches. I worked in facilities management, which of course means that I know bugger all about facilities management. 🙂

Big buildings, like stadiums, especially ones that have fallen way behind in continuous maintenance, cost a lot of money. For example, to restore Battersea Power Station to the magnificent shopping mall it is today after 40 years of standing empty, cost £9 billion.
