How can Cheltenham possibly be beating Portsmouth? Haven’t they seen the size of their budget!

They probably dont have sports scientists and expert medical team,so aren't getting as many injuries 🙂

Can you whisper this please as you know how touchy RZ is on the subject of our DC 😉

Thanks for your consideration. I think DC will fail in his quest to prove that he is a successful League 1 manager at the fourth attempt after major disruption to Cheltenhams squad. He will get them relegated and say that the board didn't back him.

Come off it you negative <ovf censored>. Charlton are a good team with a budget way in the excess of ours. We’re not a million miles away. Your constant <ovf censored> is spoiling this forum.

Agreed,as i said before I aren't an AC fan but i dont go spouting off slating him all the time,I have decided that he clearly isn't going anywhere so I am going to back him,I am enjoying the goalscoring and games like yesterday a lot more,we just need to iron out the amount of defensive mistakes... Lets not beat about the bush here, their keeper got them a point yesterday.

We sit 14th with a game or two in hand, surely we cant moan about that?? yes crosby has frustrated me this season and angered me at times but it is what it is,we seem to get more injuries than any other club, what's that down to considering we are supposed to have the best medical set up etc? Injuries to the majority of our better players has been silly this season.

The transfer window now is massive and again i wont lay the blame at AC's feet with who we bring in as i dont think he has a lot of say tbf, surely our aim was to finish higher than last season which currently we are on course to achieve and another shining light has been the emergence of the younger lads, again that has to be a good thing for the clubs future... who we bring in now will show the ambitions of the club in general.

Anyway that's enough from me but dont forget this isn't me kissing the managers arse and saying he is a superb manager because i am not a fan of his but i have just decided to be fair to him

Onwards and Upwards me owd fruits

Thought we were quite direct today, hence why our possession was as low.

I think he has changed it to play like that over the last few games(to use Uche's strength) hence the amount of goals we are scoring and conceding and lets be honest i am finding that far more entertaining than before despite it being also frustrating at the same time

You know bugger all to increase income they need to fill the ground and if they have not got functioning toilets . This money spent for toilet is not a nice to have it a mandatory compliance to the conditions of Vale ground licence .Jesus big gob knows nowt

When you say "not functioning" what do you mean?

A good team? Really?

They weren't poor

Imagine the damage we could do if we had the pace that they had in their team,I will be looking at us bringing some pace into the team this month

How brilliant to see how much the goal meant to Uche. Loved it.

Massey MOTM for me I thought he was superb. Sang played well on his return but we continue to defend like an U8’s team.

Why are we so poor again 1st half?

I think that Sang grew into the game after a slow start and i dont think he will be the scorer that Garrity is BUT he will be ok for us in the middle the more he plays there

I honestly cannot ever be convinced about Gavin Massey.

People wanting him to get MOM today?

Have a word.

Did anyone see his pathetic chip towards their player, when we should have been on a counter, which resulted in their 3rd?

He was the architect of that! It’s a giff job he passed one in the net to make up for it because their keeper was garbage.

Vale are garbage. The over coaching is why Alfie didn’t clear his lines for their 2nd.
Andy Crosby is getting away with murder. So many papering of the cracks.

Cheltenham will finish above us. Mark my words. And on game number 46 this season we will have either been relegated or it will be on the last day.

You happy clappers have been warned.

For what it’s worth, I too thought Massey was a motm contender yesterday, and that was before his great goal.

good to see Smith get 2 assists , but no one else has mentioned it, maybe it just doesn’t fit some people’s agenda.

Have the club already told us that the new toilets will be done after Xmas?
Great game yesterday shame about the defending

I hope he's successful but not to the detriment of Port Vale. We were disastrous in the 2nd half of 2022/3. It's about the current moment in football management and we were in real danger of relegation. The players were the players, but changing manager enabled a new perspective to survive.

Watching Gareth Ainsworth and Dan Cowley on Sky Soccer Sunday. GA is available of course.

Also. It’s odd, couple of months ago we couldn’t buy a goal but looked ok at the back. That has well and truly swapped, brilliant going forwards and frightening at the back! (More entertaining that way anyway)

Agree the defending was poor for all 3 goals, particularly so for the second, but we won’t make stupid, idiotic mistakes like that every game and on another day we win that game( that’s without the 2 penalties we should have got before the pen that we did get.)

I never said they were poor. But calling a side one place above us that can't buy a win away from home and who's supporters seem to desperately want the manager out a good team is nonsense. They're a mid-table side and were there to be beat yesterday. We couldn't do that because we're so inept at the back and collectively have League Two level defenders.

I'm glad that the owners are giving him time. It seems to get forgotten that he's in his first managerial role, and the table & recent performances suggest he's doing a pretty respectable job.

AC's biggest shortcoming is not being Darrell Clarke, and that's a sad state of affairs.

We were spoiled by the DC era really so yes I agree there, also and i know it's been said before but if we had social media back in the 80's then no way would Rudgie of been the manager for that Macclesfield game(the rest is history of course) so in a way that wont help AC now or other managers(no way am i saying he will be the new Rudgie though) but who knows what could happen in the future with actual proper backing financially

Very entertaining game yesterday and we really gave it a go. Massive attacking intent and great to see so many shots raining in on the opposition's goal. Any other day and we would have won  that easily. Even the Charlton Vlogger said they didn't deserve a point. Massey had a really good game and gave their defenders a run around. Uche was just Uche, big strong and led the line well. He's had a few good games recently and lets hope he keeps it up. Good performances too for Devine and Chislett and Sang did ok too. Shame about the defending but there were far more positives yesterday than negatives.

End of the season I believe. £70k complete rebuild as the building has been condemned.
