Hiding his team for today? Wrong subs yes but his deception could help us with the game today as Wigan wouldn't have expected to see that team. Hope it works out

Is it not beyond the realms of possibility that a player might have started Tuesday's game fit, tweaked a calf/groin/eyelash during the first half, told the management he was struggling at half time and been told to see how it goes for the first ten minutes of the second half, then getting substituted as a precaution against a long term injury when said player continues to struggle??  It doesn't require anyone to be lying.  And back in the day, a player would get kicked black and blue mid week and still recover to play on Saturday - three days is time to get a minor tweak sorted. 

Why does every injury have to be a conspiracy theory allowing fans to think they know what is happening in the dressing room and on the physios bench?

Some gullible folk these days.

Probably believe the line about the pitch being so good, it’s too much of a contrast to the bad training pitch, and that’s why we get loads of injuries.

I could buy it with one. But 3?? No chance. Also, in those days where they got kicked black and blue and still played on the weekend, they wouldn’t have come off after 60 mins.

Not surprised now by not having a striker starting.  Got used to it now.  Would be more surprised having a striker starting that at least knows where the opposition box is and is willing to run for balls being put into it.

Just hope our midfield have their striker boots on and score today.  Come on Vale.

I was there for many games when they did, and thought "we won't see him on Saturday" - but they recovered in time.

Pull off a shock win on Tuesday and they will be inspired game management substitutions.  The Stevenage was the least important of the 3 games. Pretty sure all 3 players could certainly have played longer than they did. In the case of Arblaster and Devine we need to look after them to get future loans of a similar quality.  I guess the reality is the manager thought he could still keep players fresh and see the Stevenage game out for a win. Probably he should have waited another 15 minutes to make the substitutions.

Smith dropped just as i called it. Right decision for me but not sure about Sang benched & Grant starting. Grant has been a poor signing so far whilst Sang been one of our more consistent of late. Maybe he can only do 45 mins today as we have a game on Tuesday 🙄 I'd of dropped Chislet as well, stealing a wage the last 2 months.
