Scoreboard in the Hamil hasn’t gone yet based on this. Would have thought they might have got that down quite sharpish after the end of the season. 

That being said, it would be classic Vale to get the pitch sorted and then have some heavy machinery churn it up to remove the old scoreboard and install another one.

Interesting interview with the Groundaman at York Racecourse about how they relaid their course on a bed of gravel (like football clubs do) It’s working a treat and the Knavesmire is on an old River bed. I would suggest that’s what Vale need to do. 
Wrexham spent 100k on their pitch and it was crap. They then had to spend another £200k on getting it done properly.  Not confident a quick fix will solve the issue for very long

I was not aware we are having the usual quick fix, but a replacement/upgrade of the drains. If that doesn`t work more drains will be needed. Until that is solved no point in having a hybrid pitch.

Was interested to know this myself and after looking it up,  it looks like they use stuff called Lytag which drains much quicker than gravel.
