Sorry to start a new thread about this I’m sure a better way to do it but…..

BBC Sounds have posted an interview by Phil Bowers with Carol.

Spent too long with Flitcroft for me. Said very little of substance. 

First bit was basically identical to what she said about Askey going. 

And not sure of the relevance of mentioning his daughter. Legacy was the term she used !

Guess from that Croz is the frontrunner for this if he wants it.

While saying that results on the pitch are the responsibility of the manager on the face of it is a reasonable line to take we are just a few weeks removed from Carol saying everything that touches the pitch is the responsibility of David Flitcroft. Somewhat mixed messages there.

It's a bit waffly as always by Carol and you may not agree with her but at least we know why decisions have been made. Fair play to Carol though for fronting up.

Manager jobs sounds very much like Crosser job to loose.

I don’t think much what she said was wrong, the results went downhill, but ok playing well so chances we will pick up a bit, then performances nose dive, then finally discipline.

I’m gutted to lose DC but does any other manager survive that here or elsewhere?

As she said it became apparent no matter what was tried nothing was changing and if anything spiralling further downhill.

It does sound like Askey all over again but in fairness that followed the same path, bad results, then the Barrow and Mansfield performances and rumours of players downing tools.

No doubt the ever positive Vale faithful will have absolutely nothing to critiscize

Completely and utterly shocked about her comment about darrells daughter etched into our legacy and history. Proper strange thing to say struggling to process whats shes getting at even bringing that up

It's very critical on there.

I cant imagine darrell will be happy about her being mentioned in his exit explanation

I agree they both should of been there. When was the last time we heard from flitcroft?
