Sam Allison is the ref for this. If my memory serves me right, he reffed us against Sunderland in the Carabao Cup. He was awful!
Just hope that he doesn't spoil a good game of nogger!

Was slightly better v Derby away

Finish above other promoted teams and in the top half. Brilliant season.

I don't think it's been brilliant at all. People keep saying that they'd have taken staying up back in July, which is true, but targets can be re-evaluated as the season progresses and, for me, this season is full of missed opportunities and poor planning and, since the start of the year, has been forgettable at best and pretty poor at worst.

Brilliant, good or poor, we’re perhaps making a judgement a bit too early.  Staying up is actually success of sorts.  Plenty of games left yet and quite a few fall into the “winnable” category.  If we manage to bag a decent points haul between now and the end of the season, and the corresponding performances are decent, I think we can say it’s been a good first season back at the level.  Let’s see where we finish.

I'm struggling with the continual referencing to finishing above the other promoted teams. Don't see any relevance at all.  Must be just me. Is that how success is rated these days ?

As for tomorrow, surely this is the game where we finally put on a resounding, entertaining performance and win by more than one goal ?

Then again...........................

Just one way of measuring progress, especially as the PO winners. The team that led L2 for a long time is now bottom L1. The priority of most clubs in all leagues is to stay up. A few can be optimistic of promotion. Realistically, progress is finishing higher than last season. There are a couple of PO losers facing relegation this season, and not all clubs can progress. Football is a game of uncertainty, it is a journey of ups and downs. Champions of England and Cup Winners facing Relegation?
