Coleman has mellowed towards us in the past 12 months:

“I have nothing against Port Vale,” continued Coleman. “I have a lot of admiration and time for their manager, he is one of the good guys, but when we play them I want to beat them.

“I think they have done really well, made some good signings and are more than holding their own in the league.

“I think they are a fantastic club with a good manager and they have performed really well.”

Yep, sadly, I suspect you're right and any increases in temperature will be too late for a 3pm KO on Saturday, as both my brothers, all my nephews and me and my son have tickets for the game on Saturday

Nuts but certainly set to be postponed with a 2pm inspection tomorrow. Guess its done as a formality.

In fact I am that confident it will be off that if its on I will stand naked in the centre circle .. todger on parade and all that 😮

Absolutely as with the distance it could easily of been left until 10.00 am Saturday.

It gives folks chance to make other arrangements like Christmas shopping or Bridgemere 😂

Deffo Off.  Been up in the last hour and it's a token gesture getting in the ref as its Rock hard. Probably take about 4 decent days of weather for that to thaw.

I would guess it’s the ref who makes the final decision.

We could do with this game going ahead. We are stronger than Accrington at present. Once the January transfer window starts uncertainty is introduced. A big club takes out best players? We can't sign equivalent replacements? Accrington strengthen? The division closes up? I know Accrington are not flush with cash, but they are savvy and well run which is why they aren't down in the National League North with the core support they have.

My friend who is a walker asked me if he would be OK walking in the Wirral this week. Answer no way. There is lethal ice everywhere after snowfall. So he went to Stoke instead and had no problems. I guess we don't have long to wait, but surely this game can go ahead!? I'll be unimpressed if it doesn't.
