We meet again so soon with venues swapped. £10K to the winners at stake instead of league points. Bear in mind a visit to Posh on Saturday so the need to keep everybody as fit as possible, either by resting or giving their legs a run out. Useful to give fringe players a bit of action or chance to impress. Wins breed success go for it Vale.

I’d go McCarron for Small as DC seemed to indicate he sees him as more of a forward option now. Anyone know where Rory Holden is at? He could do with some time on the pitch also assuming he’s not injured.

Always good to win but a squad rotation game for me. Get some time into the fringe players.

Judging by the Shrewsbury manager’s comments after the game on Saturday, I think there will be two vastly different teams on show tomorrow night. A great opportunity for our fringe players to shine.

Not bad for 'shocking' recruitment over the summer that exposed the process and DF for what they are.....

Agree with other peoples sides however we all know that Wilson takes a few games to get up to speed whereas Conlon also needs minutes so I think these games are perfect for them to do just that and get a bit of confidence in the process.

I haven’t heard what the deal is with Hall/Pett and whether they were injured on Saturday. I don’t see that we have anyone to replace smith now that lad has gone on loan to Chorley. I would put Worrall in that side as he didn’t start either but then it’s less minutes for Robinson. Could easily have McCarron for Small especially as he was on the bench Saturday. I don’t like this trophy because if the the B teams but I don’t like to see it out of interest for our alternative players
