50 years! We’d be lucky to last 50 weeks under these Labour clowns.

I hate Johnson and most of his Tory gang, but Corbyn and his idiots will destroy this country and must never be given the chance to mobilise their chaos.

A respected friend of mine had the pleasure of a meeting recently with Rebecca Long-Bailey and told me that she was one of the thickest people he had met in any capacity. Image her, Rayner, Abbott, McDonnell and Corbyn at the helm? Good lord!

Rebecca Long-Bailey strikes me as the last sort of person I would want as a party leader.  She comes across as very weak.

Why do you think it would be deadly? IMO, it's not even an issue as Labour won't form a coalition with Sturgeon. JC's already said this and I don't think there'd be any need for any pact as I can't imagine the SNP voting against most of Labour's policies anyway.

If it means getting into No10 then Corbyn and Labour will do a deal with Sturgeon, regardless of what he says now.

I think she'll be one of the top 3 or 4 when Corbyn goes. I can see RLB, Angela Rayner, possibly Clive Lewis and Thornberry. I'd really like to see Laura Pidcock as leader but I think she may need a little more experience of frontline politics. I really do think she's great though. The last 20 seconds of her speech here gives me goosebumps (although she's a Geordie so a bit weird).

Lady Nugee as leader of the Labour party ?................................Champagne socialism at it's very best ,the world will have gone to a hell in a hand cart, you would need Jess Phillips as deputy and you would hope the armed forces would instigate a coup.

Yet, as I have already said, you lot were all crowing about how the audience were slating Labour not 24 hours earlier. As Mario said, it's pretty embarrassing how bad a performer Johnson is and how the moderator on both debates had to keep dragging him back on topic.

Also, just wondering why the tories are even contesting this election. They don't seem passionate about anything, they're not even encouraging people to vote. They've just presented the blandest, emptiest manifesto in living memory. Love Corbyn or (as most of you seem to) hate him, I think it's hard to argue that he's not passionate about his goals and that he desperately wants to transform our country (even if you think his methods and aims are misguided). With Johnson and his cronies, you just get the feeling that power is everything. He doesn't have any idea what he actually wants to do with it or why he wants the job, other than to say he's PM. Power games of the elite. Nothing would give me greater pleasure than to see him, Patel, JRM and the rest of them kicked out on their arses on 12/12.

Unsurprisingly I think that the direct opposite is true.

Corbyn has thrown career long principles out of the window and his manifesto smacks of absolute desperation.

He will stop at nothing to get into power. The tories have basically used their planned budget as their manifesto. Part of a sensible and long term economical plan.

I honestly think the public will be very wary of the dangers of over spending and couples with their disastrously dishonest stance on Brexit and desertion of their traditional voters, I couldnt be happier as to how the last week or 2 have gone.

As for my favourite part of the manifesto...Corbyn neutral by christmas. Lovely.

Utter bilge. What kind of exit does Johnson want? He had to chuck a load of MPs out of his party as they didn't trust him to act with integrity. You've had resignation after resignation due to Brexit, people still don't know if your leader is trying to play for a no deal exit and have your own little sub-party with the ERG.

In comparison, Labour have been a model of stability with a very simple Brexit plan. Negotiate a deal that protects the environment, workers rights and jobs and then put it back to the people within 6 months. Vote Labour and Brexit will be sorted by June, and with a more diplomatic and conciliatory result, unlike the tories' divisive and unworkable plan. The fact is that only the thick, the disingenuous or the dishonest can state that our position is hard to understand.

Well all I can say is that anyone who thinks Labour has had a clear, transparent policy on Brexit must be as opaque as Jeremy! Can't get enough of this hilarious quoting that "Labour will re-negotiate a fantastic new deal".  Barnier and co must be laughing to their boots when they know that virtually all of the Labour front bench (anyone's guess with Jeremy-literally!) have stated that they will campaign for remain and not the deal they are going to negotiate--you really couldn't make it up!

That's one of the funniest things I've read on here for a while.

You must have a strange sense of humour then?! Of course there have been dissenting voices in the Conservative party. However whether under Theresa May or Boris Johnson their aim always has been to give the people the leave that was voted for. Labour, SNP & in particular the Lib Dems have been trying to twart that democratic vote at every turn!

Again, not true. Many in the conservative party were working to "thwart the will of the people" and the legislation that prevented Brexit was brought on several occasions by Conservatives. You can't change facts to suit your narrative. The country, towns, cities, and our political parties are all split over Brexit and both the tories' 'let's get it done (whatever 'it' is) and the Libdems' 'let's ignore half the electorate' approach will do nothing to bring people back together. In fact, very much the opposite. It's only Labour with a nuanced, conciliatory approach with a neutral leader that isn't risking more severe divides.
