General Erection - 12th December 2019

It is an investment, don't expect sudden bloom or sudden availability.

I’m not expecting anything, I simply want to know how this pipedream (even if implemented) will benefit the majority of businesses and operations in the U.K.

I’m sure highstreet retailers won’t welcome any further growth in the efficiency of online services. Have labour even considered the detrimental effect of thousands of job losses directly as a result of this idea - probably not!

It would seem labour have pledged 58bn waspi pension compensation package today that was not included in their manifesto.

They are beyond the pale. They'll be pledging to sign vale a left back next. It's about the only thing they haven't promised yet.

Apparently for every £1 the Tories have pledged to spend Labour have pledged £28.

How about the guy who ran the brexit coverage and 2017 election coverage, who was a brexiteer and then went to work for Teresa may?

Amy examples of them editing coverage to make Corbyn look better?

Live coverage on Question Time on Friday night told you a lot about the BBC bias.Besides the inclusion of Labour activists, trade unionists and actresses in the audience Fiona Bruce and the audience interrupted the PM over four times more than Corbyn. The Labour leader was interrupted just 11 times,Nicola Surgeon 15 times,Jo Swinson 17 times and Boris Johnson 45 times.

It seems Bruce couldn't or didn't want to control the mob outrage on a Friday night in Sheffield.

She interrupted Boris more times than Corbyn because he wouldn't answer the questions clearly and concisely and had to be pulled back onto message, bumbling oaf.

Yet, as I have already said, you lot were all crowing about how the audience were slating Labour not 24 hours earlier. As Mario said, it's pretty embarrassing how bad a performer Johnson is and how the moderator on both debates had to keep dragging him back on topic.

Also, just wondering why the tories are even contesting this election. They don't seem passionate about anything, they're not even encouraging people to vote. They've just presented the blandest, emptiest manifesto in living memory. Love Corbyn or (as most of you seem to) hate him, I think it's hard to argue that he's not passionate about his goals and that he desperately wants to transform our country (even if you think his methods and aims are misguided). With Johnson and his cronies, you just get the feeling that power is everything. He doesn't have any idea what he actually wants to do with it or why he wants the job, other than to say he's PM. Power games of the elite. Nothing would give me greater pleasure than to see him, Patel, JRM and the rest of them kicked out on their arses on 12/12.

No one should be a billionaire. You can be rich and have people working for you without being a billionaire.

To put things into perspective.

1 million seconds is 11.5 days.

1 billion seconds is nearly 32 years.

it takes the likes of bill gates 30 seconds to earn the same as the uk median yearly salary. bUt tHeY wOrKeD fOr tHeIr mOnEY. When people can’t afford to feed themselves and use food banks, we have people defending being a billionaire because ‘they worked for their money’.

If it wasn't being written off,0.3% of £134 billion would also go a long way in helping out.

Well Mr.H,if Labour can't  come up with the goods this time I'm pretty sure Jezza will be down the road like Poch, who also didnt win anything.

The Tories are in disarray at the moment so you won't have a better chance but I'm still backing Boris to triumph.

Regarding the manifesto,I particularly like the one about adult social care where no-one will have to sell their home to pay for care.I think that will receive massive support as will the retention of free bus passes and winter fuel allowance.

50,000 extra nurses is also welcomed as is keeping the triple lock pension. No huge tax cuts are a given for the Tories, as is Leaving the EU.A points based immigration system is also a winner alongside the pledge to cut emissions to zero by 2050.

But they have not said how the growth in social care is to be funded, nor where the nurses are coming from.

50 years! We’d be lucky to last 50 weeks under these Labour clowns.

I hate Johnson and most of his Tory gang, but Corbyn and his idiots will destroy this country and must never be given the chance to mobilise their chaos.

A respected friend of mine had the pleasure of a meeting recently with Rebecca Long-Bailey and told me that she was one of the thickest people he had met in any capacity. Image her, Rayner, Abbott, McDonnell and Corbyn at the helm? Good lord!
