But don't discount the recent run without Tom Pope in the side. I would rather he score ten goals in the next twenty games and start as a sub for all those games. I think it is the best way forward that he stays a bit part player now otherwise we could end up falling backwards again. Might be wrong..

Took some courage to take thye penalty given what was at stake, he'd just come on and amid all the gamesmanship from the Northampton players.

Pope is probably the only true legend outside the Rudge era which is remarkable bearing in mind in comparison to that historic period he’s played with less quality players. Proud of him and I’m sure his grandad is as well. Feed the Pope and he will score.

Just been thinking much the same.It will be a weight off his back to have broke this land mark goal.Next week against near by local rivals one of Popes ex teams could have added more pressure for him to break his land mark goal.But having done that today take that pressure off him a little.Dont want to get over excited but a hat trick for him next week against Crewe would be fantastic (might be worth a look at the odds for a bet to see what is available)Onwards and upwards together.
